The new 2020 Volvo C90 has a certain charm that its direct rivals don’t have. The 2020 Volvo S90 has a technically sophisticated configuration that delivers good driving performance. The Swedish sedan is equipped with a front suspension with double wishbones and a rear multi-link. Additionally, an air suspension is provided that can change the size of the driving height. In all trim levels, the 8-speed automatic transmission is installed on the car.

The Swedish model is equipped with the following motors, each of which comes with a turbine:

• 2-liter petrol engine. The maximum output of this unit is 190 hp, the torque is 300 N*m. Fuel consumption is 6.7 liters, acceleration to 100 km/h takes 8.7 seconds;
• 2-liter petrol engine. Engine power increased to 249 hp. with a torque of 350 N*m. Both parameters for a sedan with such equipment are 6.6 liters and 6.8 seconds, respectively;
• 2-liter petrol engine. The top unit is only available with all-wheel drive. This motor develops up to 320 hp. and 400 N*m. The sedan in this version accelerates to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds and consumes about 7.2 liters;
• 2-liter twin turbo diesel. This motor is also equipped with all-wheel drive. It produces 235 hp. and 480 N*m. Acceleration and fuel efficiency are 7 seconds and 5.4 liters respectively.
• Already in the basic configuration of the Volvo S90, parking sensors and dual-zone climate control are available, complemented by a cabin filter and an air purifier. You can expand this equipment with additional equipment:
• sports (with top-end equipment comes by default) or air suspension;
• four-zone climate control;
• intelligent parking assistant;
• all-round cameras;
• navigation module;
• monitors for second row passengers;
• a set of LED lamps placed in the cabin;
• car memory system embedded in the key;
• projection display;
• systems of adaptive lighting of the road and control of "dead" zones;
• selector for selecting driving modes;
• heated windshield and steering wheel.

Design

The 2020 Volvo S90 features a dynamic appearance, shaped by a longer bonnet and tailgate. The Swedish model stands out from the competition due to the head optics with integrated T-shaped LED strips. The shape of the front part of the body varies depending on the type of equipment selected. Each of the available modifications provides for its own body kit.

At the stern of the S90 there are headlights of a non-standard shape that wrap around the tailgate in two places. The latter is complemented by a mild spoiler, provided only in the maximum configuration. The tailgate, like the rear bumper, is characterized by a relief shape.

Inside, the S90 has virtually no physical keys. All control of the on-board electronics is carried out through a vertically located touch monitor. The Swedish model has a wide transmission tunnel, in the rear of which a separate climate control unit is provided. Leather and wood materials were actively used in interior decoration.
