Cadillac XT5 2018: The perfect American crossover

Americans are very fond of big and comfortable cars. One of them is the 2018 Cadillac HT5 - a full-size crossover created mainly for use at home. Appearance

It is impossible not to leave the dimensions of the car unnoticed – it will be slightly too big for a European user, but such sizes are just right for Americans. The new body is particularly distinguished by its muzzle, which is a little too short, but still flaunts a bunch of decorative elements. The first one around them is the hood, which has a stepped relief and a small angle of inclination to the road. It ends with a huge radiator grille and is approximately half of all bumper area. The grille itself includes many chrome strips arranged horizontally, and also has a perimeter painted with identical paint. The optics are rather unusually designed – these are rectangular thin headlights, one corner around which a strip of turning lights radiates downwards.

The body kit exudes both style and anger at the same time. Here you can observe several air intakes – triangular side ones equipped with fog optics in the form of a strip practically connected to it, which can be observed on the main lights, as well as the central one, slightly larger and having a rectangular shape. The bottom is additionally protected by metal and plastic.

On the sides of the car, you can observe numerous protrusions and other relief, which largely decorates the car. Massive mirrors and windows decorated with chrome perimeter stand out especially strongly.

The new model received approximately the same rear bumper as most other crossovers – a body kit perpendicular to the road, consisting of a wide visor, rectangular optics located vertically, and a protected lower part supplemented with two square pipes.

Interior

Not every car has such a luxurious and functional interior. The new Cadillac HT5 of the 2018 model year is made of expensive leather, wood and metals, and any model can envy the number of options available to the driver.

There are also a lot of things on the dashboard with the devices. It is represented by several round sensors that are activated only when the motor is started. From here, the driver can get absolutely all the information about the condition of the vehicle.

Technical specifications

Cadillac XT5 2018 is mainly made with petrol engine - 3.6-liter, producing 314 forces. To help it, there is a four-wheel drive and an eight-gear automatic. For such a large car, these characteristics are almost ideal and allow you to achieve decent speeds in a short period of time. A two-liter turbocharged unit developing 258 forces will be offered for the Chinese market.
