Cadillac XT6 2020-2021

The official premiere of the new Cadillac XT6 crossover took place on January 12, 2019, at the Detroit Auto Show. At the time of the show, it was a completely new model, with its own characteristics and branded, recognizable design. The novelty is designed for 6 or 7 seats, while in no way inferior to the comfort of other crossovers of the brand.

Regardless of the crossover configuration, a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder gasoline engine will be hidden under the hood, although the V6 was originally supposed to be installed with a 3.6-liter volume. The power of the installed unit is 200 horses, and the maximum torque is 350 Nm. A 9-speed automatic transmission with steering lobes and electronic control is installed in a pair with the engine.

Exterior of the new crossover

The appearance of the new Cadillac XT6 will surprise even the most demanding. This is a well-recognized Cadillac model, but with features modified in a modern way. In particular, the thin LED optics, a minimum of chrome-plated parts, an open radiator grille and, of course, smooth body features stand out. Despite the difference in one digit XT6 and XT5, the cars are not at all similar to each other.

The front part of the new Cadillac XT6 has a strict trapezoid-shaped radiator grille, a company logo in the center and pronounced LED front optics. Depending on the configuration and the wishes of the buyer, the radiator grille insert can be made of plastic mesh or cascaded, with chrome elements.

The front bumper of the Cadillac XT6 looks no less expressive, especially the side part. It was on the sides of the bumper that vertical LED running lights were placed, occupying most of the front in height. To make the crossover look angry and menacing, the designers connected the sides with a small grille. Another grille was added at the bottom of the bumper. It simultaneously additionally cools the engine and carries the entire set of sensors and auxiliary systems.

From the side, the new Cadillac XT6 crossover looks no worse, and it's not immediately obvious from the size of the body that there are three rows of seats inside. As expected, there are a minimum of chrome parts on the side, and there is nothing superfluous either. The wheel arches fit perfectly to the size of the wheels, and the bottom is emphasized by a chrome line with the nameplate of the model.

The side mirrors of the new Cadillac XT6 are located on the door panel, not in the corner of the windows. On the one hand, it looks modern, but on the other hand, the classic arrangement would not suit the new XT6 in any way. With the functionality of the mirror, LED turn repeaters, electric adjustment drive, heating and automatic folding were received. Despite its small size, many motorists have already noted an excellent review. If this is not enough, then you can add the reverse drive function. In this case, when the reverse gear is turned on, the mirrors will automatically adjust so that the rear bumper and wheels are visible.

The rear part of the Cadillac XT6 2020 is nothing like the existing models of the company. Large L-shaped LED stops connected by a chrome line, massive exhaust tips and a modest rear bumper. The trunk lid at first glance does not express much, but if you look closely, there is a depression in the center in the form of a shield (the company's emblem).

The very top is decorated with a small spoiler and LED stop repeater. With additional details, you can note the company's corporate logo, chrome nameplates and oblong horizontal LED fog lights.

Interior of the new crossover

Despite the small external dimensions, the interior of the new Cadillac XT6 crossover is designed for 6 or 7 seats, while the price of the configuration will not depend on the formula of the seating arrangement (2+3+2 or 2+2+2 seats). The interior itself looks rich in the style of the company, with a good list of modern technologies. So the front panel is conditionally divided into three levels: upper, central and lower. The upper part of the panel is covered with leather of the same color as the crossover seats.

The central part of the panel is highlighted by inserts made of wood, polished aluminum or plastic with an imitation surface. Regardless of the configuration, an 8" multimedia touch screen is located in the center of the panel. The Android Auto and Apple CarPlay platforms served as the basis for multimedia at the same time, which allows you to synchronize different gadgets and conduct remote control.

As an option, the buyer is offered a navigation system, since according to the standard it is not available in more than one Cadillac XT6 configuration. Here, near the display, a pair of air ducts, the Start/Stop button of the engine and the control buttons of the main crossover systems were located. Below the console is a three-zone climate control control panel and a small recess with wireless charging.

Quite simply, but practically, the central tunnel of the Cadillac XT6 2020 turned out. At the very beginning there is a transmission lever, next to the lever there is a compartment for small things, a multimedia control washer, mobile communication control buttons and an electromechanical handbrake. The whole set is completed by a roomy armrest, with climate control and a pair of outlets for recharging on the reverse side.
