For the first time, the third-generation Dodge Challenger debuted on the world stage back in 2008, and three days after the debut, the novelty was sold out for the year ahead. So the model, like a Phoenix, rose from the ashes after a 34-year break. The new body has not so much in common with those generations of the car that were in great demand among the people. However, this does not prevent the car from looking insanely aggressive. As has always been the case with this car, the muzzle here is very long. The hood here is complemented by several protrusions and recesses, and sometimes there is an air intake cutout. Next, you can see a very deep strip in the body, which is filled with a radiator grille in the center, and round headlamps filled with xenon - on the sides. In the lower part of the bumper there are several more cutouts that improve the cooling of the engine compartment. Also here, the body is distinguished by the presence of a variety of terrain to improve aerodynamics.

The car also looks very menacing on the sides. Special decorations cannot be found here, except for the huge expanders on the wheel arches. The top car is complemented by very small windows, next to which rear-view mirrors without turning signals are attached. The rest of the body space boasts only a small amount of undulating terrain.

Some changes were also made to the rear of the car. The trunk here became a little longer, and its lid was supplemented with a special ledge that plays the role of a spoiler. Next, you can find huge lights of dimensional optics, made in the form of ovals, as well as a noticeably bulging body kit made of unpainted metal, which flaunts as many as four exhaust pipes.

Interior

The interior of the car is not exactly the best, but do not forget that the designers were faced with the task of making both a fast and comfortable car. The new Dodge Challenger 2019 model year is made of various materials, the quality of which strongly depends on the selected configuration. Here you can find a variety of fabrics, leather, metals, Alcantara and even carbon fiber.

The central console of the car consists only of a large touch screen monitor, which is surrounded on the sides by deflectors. All analog functional controls are placed on the tunnel. In addition to these details, it also boasts the presence of a transmission selector, cup holders and even an armrest with a cooled glove compartment.

Since this is a sports car, there are only two seats. Naturally, a great emphasis is placed on safety, so already in medium-power trim levels, sports buckets are put here. The usual chairs are made of leather, and are also supplemented with heating, adjustments by electric drives and even ventilation. In the most powerful versions of the car, there is generally only a driver's seat in the cabin, but manufacturers can install a passenger seat for just $ 1.

Technical characteristics 

Under the hood of the Dodge Challenger 2019 both ordinary civilian engines and real monsters can be located. All of them consume only gasoline fuel. The base engine is a 3.6-liter unit that produces 309 horsepower. All configurations are paired with an eight-speed automatic gearbox.
