The Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S marks the top spot of the four-door model range. Its dynamic AMG engine mounts guarantee the best-possible connection of the 470 kW (650 hp) strong engine to the body in any handling situation. Especially with a sporty driving style the electronically controlled AMG locking differential enables improved acceleration from corners. The four-door car not only accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds: thanks to the additional RACE drive program including Drift Mode it can also perform sporty driving maneuvers.

In the factory version, the standard 4.0-liter V8 sedan develops 650 hp. As it has been mentioned before, this allows the car to spend a little more than 3 seconds on acceleration to 100 km/h. But there are tuners - people for whom it will always be "not enough." In the Posaidon studio, they immediately developed two options for fine-tuning this engine to truly monumental indicators.

In the RS 830 version, due to flashing the engine control unit, increasing boost pressure, changing intake and exhaust systems, as well as using an intercooler, tuners managed to achieve 830 hp from this engine, and 1,100 Nm of torque. Accordingly, the dynamics is also noticeably improving: such a sedan can accelerate to 350 km/h instead of the standard 315, and the acceleration time to 100 km/h decreases to 2.9 s - half a second faster than the factory version of the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S.

In addition, this package of improvements includes the reprogramming of transmission and suspension control units. The conversion of a sedan into a monster into a rather modest 24 thousand euros is estimated.

However, this modification has an even more hardcore version called RS 830+. A deeper intervention in the engine (for example, replacing a piston group) allowed them to get a little more extra horses, and as a result, the V8 returns up to 880 hp. and 1,200 Nm.

The dynamic characteristics of such a "Poseidon" are not reported, but it is known that improvements can be applied to any other AMG models with the same engine.

The advantages of this layout: the eight-cylinder engine has more compact dimensions, which allow the low installation position as well as optimum weight distribution between the front and rear axles. The maximum charge pressure is 1.2 bar and the turbochargers can reach a maximum speed of 186,000 rpm. For combustion 2.3 times as many oxygen atoms are pressed into the turbo engine than a naturally aspirated engine.
