Nissan Sentra 2020: more drive and character

The Nissan Sentra sedan is in consistently high demand in the US market, so it is not surprising why the Japanese showed a new generation of the model at the Los Angeles Auto Show. The high-profile premiere did not take place, because an analogue of the car in the face of the Nissan Sylphy was shown in China in the spring of 2019. However, Sentra received more advanced equipment, which means it is of more interest to us.

The novelty received an attractive exterior, a high-quality and well-thought-out interior, as well as a productive technical stuffing, which allows the model to claim the title of a driver's car.

Exterior

Let's pay tribute to the designers of the company, who equipped the car with a bright, stylish and dynamic appearance.

The front part of the body flaunts a branded V-shaped false radiator grille, menacingly squinted head optics and a monumental bumper with boomerang-shaped decorative inserts and fog lights.

The profile of the sedan is represented by heavily littered A-pillars, a domed roof, a lean stern, as well as elegant stampings on the sidewalls. It is also worth highlighting the circular wheel arches and stylish alloy wheels, the diameter of which varies between 16-18 inches.

The stern of the car flaunts large ceiling lamps, a trunk lid with a small spoiler and a neat bumper with a pseudo-diffuser and a large exhaust pipe.

External dimensions almost completely repeat those of its predecessor:

The exact height of the ride is not reported by the manufacturer, but it is unlikely that it is less than that of its predecessor, where the ground clearance was 155 mm.

The interior of the car completely repeats that of the Nissan Sylphy, designed for the Chinese market. The quality of finishing materials, assembly and ergonomics do not raise any questions and may well compete with the cars of a higher price segment.

The driver's seat is represented by an easy-to-read instrument panel with a pair of analog dials and a 4.2-inch LCD trip computer display (optionally 7-inch), as well as a stylish three-spoke multifunction steering wheel with a sporty cut lower rim.

The main place on the central part of the dashboard is reserved for an 8-inch touchscreen display of the media and information complex that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Directly below it, there are three stylish air duct deflectors that look like fighter jet turbines, and even lower is the interior climate control unit, represented by several buttons and multifunctional knobs.

For first-row passengers, the manufacturer has prepared comfortable seats with high-quality finishes, well-developed lateral support, a wide range of adjustments and heating.

A wide center console runs between the seats, on which an armrest, a pair of cup holders, a gear selector and an engine start button are located.

The rear sofa is profiled for two riders, but this does not prevent it from easily taking on board a third passenger. There is enough free space in all three directions, and among the amenities there is a separate block of deflectors and a folding central armrest.

Trunk volume is about 520 liters.
